Is Eversend Legit?

If you are thinking about using Eversend to hold, send or spend money across borders, your first question is probably whether Eversend is legit. The answer is yes. Eversend is a licensed and regulated financial platform used by more than 1.6 million registered users, and it has moved over $1 billion across borders since launching in March 2019.

This page sets out exactly who regulates us, the licence numbers you can check, how your money is held, and what our safeguards do and do not cover.

Last reviewed: August 2026.

Is Eversend licensed and regulated?

Yes. Eversend moves money under licences held with named regulators. Here is the full register.

Eversend operates through more than one legal entity across these markets, and every product is offered to you as Eversend. Every licence listed above is held for the Eversend service you use.

We publish the numbers rather than a row of badges, because a badge cannot be checked and a licence number can. You are welcome to verify any of them with the regulator directly.

These licences are not decoration. They oblige us to verify who our customers are before they can transact, screen transactions against sanctions lists, monitor for fraud and suspicious activity, keep customer money separate from our own, and report to the regulators above on a schedule they set.

Is my money safe with Eversend?

Your money is held in safeguarded, segregated accounts. That means customer funds sit apart from the money Eversend uses to run the business, and they are reconciled against our records. Customer money is not ours to spend, and it is not available to fund our operations.

Now the part most companies leave out.

Safeguarding is not the same as government deposit insurance. Eversend is a licensed payments company, not a bank. Schemes such as the FSCS in the UK or the FDIC in the United States do not apply to your Eversend balance. Safeguarding protects your money by keeping it separate and accounted for. A deposit guarantee is a promise from a government. They are different things, and any company that lets you confuse the two is not being straight with you.

Stablecoins and other digital assets carry their own risks. Their value can fall as well as rise, they are not covered by any deposit protection scheme, and regulation of them is still changing. Please read the product disclosures before using those features.

How Eversend protects your account

Security is layered, because one control failing should never be enough.

  • Two-factor authentication on your account, so a stolen password is not enough on its own.
  • 256-bit encryption protecting sensitive data in transit and at rest.
  • Transaction monitoring running continuously for fraud, sanctions exposure and suspicious activity.
  • Identity verification for people, and business verification for companies and platform partners, sized to the product and the risk.
  • Card controls in your hands. You can freeze, unfreeze or delete a virtual card yourself, inside the app, the moment something looks wrong. You do not have to wait for us.
  • Institutional custody for digital assets through Fireblocks, rather than keys held by us.

We will never ask you for these

Eversend will never ask for your password, your PIN, your full card number or a one time passcode. Not by email, not by phone, not on WhatsApp, not on social media, and not in support chat. If someone claiming to be Eversend asks for any of them, they are not us. Report it through in app support.

What you can do with Eversend

  • Exchange currency at a rate shown on screen before you confirm, with the fee included in what you see.
